I don't know how they say this is THE WORST SONG OF ALL TIME..there's been way worse. This song is actually rather decent for 1985 with the electronic instruments and good old 70's vocals. Anyway...

I still like this song... "Starship - We Built This City"

October 11, 2006 -- TALK about torture. Blender magazine editors chose Starship's 1985 hit "We Built This City" as the worst song of all time. Now they've assigned contributor Russ Heller to set a world record for repeatedly listening to the worst song ever. He'll sit in a plexiglass booth at the Best Buy in NoHo starting Friday at 8 a.m. and grit his teeth as "We Built This City" is played at least 324 times over a grueling 24 hours.

Worst song ever? I have heard worse but does the song that killed the aliens in, "Mars Attacks" count? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RRugApjmk8 Bad song anyways but the 80's was a bad era for songs anyways. It was all about big hair, sex, drugs. The only good things that came out for songs was exisitng bands that started up in the 70's. *Oh how about the annoying whoo hoo song that plays in those Vonage phone ads? It was originally played in Kill Bill by some Japanese band.
 
This song? It's not so bad. There are some 80s gems, but they're few and far between.

I'd vote it worst music video of all time, though.

Ahhh, I love the 80's suprisingly. My father says, "The 80's is a baren wasteland for music" and he's a big music buff. Biggest one I know, since he used to be in his own band back in the late 80's and early 90's playing classic rock songs and such...he's a damn fine guitarist.

Anyway, I love the 80's, maybe because I love Techno, and they have tons of electronic music for 80's beats. Then again, I love 70's 60's....hell I love almost all music.

What makes it the worst music video of all time? The fact that it's not "realistic" looking..or because giant dice were atttacking...oh god, I laughed so hard at that.

But no, I've seen way worse videos..if only I could remember them :(

Yeah Robbie Williams is pretty bad in my opinion and when I first listened to that song, I instantly hated it.

There are many worse songs than Starship's "We built this city". But you got to love their other song,"Nothing gonna stop us now." It's hip and fun!
