Red Alert 3 will also have controversial DRM from Spore

It ain't as bad as the Spore one. Five install limit (still shit) and we don't need the disc in the drive to play the game. I blogged about it with some extra comment from the Community Manager.

I take it you can't play online with a cracked copy even with a legit key?
Otherwise it doesn't really matter.

We can relax, it's very likely that all EA games will have this kind of DRM. But the activation limit will be surely dropped after a while.

What the **** is with this shit. Don't they know DRM is crap, Spore was ****ing released on torrents a week before the game release date, and there was DRM on it.

Now that I think about it, what exactly is the purpose of DRM anyway? By limiting your number of installs, how is that going to stop hackers?

No purchase from me the, they can shove this crap up their arse.

I have absolutely no need to install these games on other PCs so it's not a big deciding factor in my game purchases.
