I was reading the paper (yes reading the paper) and I saw this article
Look out Activison and Valve eh? I honestly never knew that.
The Red Cross is threatening to prosecute makers of video games that depicts the organisation as warmongers
For nearly 150 years, its emblem has been the international symbol of medical aid in war zones.
The furious Red Cross chiefs now claim their "Don't Shoot" logo is being undermined.
Dozens of games, such as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and others based on World War II feature the red cross motif.
Many also have so-called health packs, which players use to revive themselves after being shot at, featuring the prominent red crosses.
Other, more extreme, examples include mobile army hospital units that can be used to attack an opponent. Yet global law says millitary medical officers can only be lightly armed (ergo a handgun) and fire in self defence.
British Red Cross head of interntional law, Michael Meyer, said "The use of the emblem in video games is both illegal and detrimental to its special protective value. The emblem is an internationally agreed symbol of neutral protection. It is used in armed conflicts to safeguard the wounded and sick who seek to help them in a neutral and impartial way. To preserve the special significance and protective force of the Red Cross emblem there are international and national laws restricting its use."
Meyer said the games developers who continually flouted the law would be prosecuted.
