Can it be so?

I was checking out Red Dwarf on the IMDb and stumbled across this.

Any fans here? Although it got really poor after series 7, I was looking to get the earlier series on DVD. Could be good.

That movie has been in pre-producton since about 2001.

yeah ive been wanting this to happen for ages but they just disapoint me. So i'm not gonna trust this...much. Ahk who'm i kidding i'm giddy actually giddy

it'll happen... i just hope the screenplay is up to scratch. no doubt it'll be great

When you compare the greatness of series 1 & 2 to what Red Dwarf became I think it's time to call it a day.

The thought of a movie makes me shudder :/

I'm visiting the set when they start filming. :bounce:

My friend's uncle is one of the executive's best friends. And my friend's uncle is going to get us access. :E

EDIT: When they finally start filming I mean... :p

The mid series, 3 4 5 and 6 were the best, the original series, especially the original Kryten, weren't as good.

Anyone know the series that Ace Rimmer first showed up in?

Now that guy was awesome :).

or spending too much time on Coronation St.
I forgot he's starring on that, I don't watch Cory you see. Is it unusual to see a scoucer in Manchester?

Now that Brookside is off the air, yes :p

I reckon that now the cast is too old to make a film of the beginning of the story, the best idea would be for the film to take its story from one of the early novels. Either that, or they show the Dwarf finally getting back to Earth, 6 millions years after it set off... that would be frickin' awesome.

I'm not as massive a fan of Red Dwarf as some people, but if they could do a film that worked in some of the darkness of the books it would rule.

And I agree with the guy who said the mid-series were the best...but I absolutely could not stand the most recent series.

Not a fan of corrie either. Was just casually flicking through the channels the other day and saw him on it. My initial reaction was WTF!
