Anyone drink red wine here?
Can u recommend a good 1 for me, not 2 much £ tho.
Iv had enough of drinking stella and my gut is starting 2 get a bit on the large size.

All I drink if I do is White Russians, not the pre mixed stuff you buy.

Never have been much for wine, just choose the most French sounding one and buy it.

I allways drink red wine, (I'm French), If you want to get drunk I recomend red wine, you don't go crazy, you just feel very heavy and want to sleep.
A good and cheap wine I would recomend would be " Chevalier de Fance"

quit drinking entirely :D
That's quite enough silliness from you.

Red wine's great but I wouldn't count on it stopping your levels of unhealthiness, dude. You won't get a beer gut as such but it's not exactly part of a well-balanced diet.
But it is great, as Adrien says. Although, Adrien, I love that you said "I'm French so I drink a lot of wine" - I know the French drink a lot of wine, but it just made it sound like a condition of citizenship:)

JammyDodger, it kinda depends on where you wanna drink it. If you wanna drink it in a pub then, well I have no idea I've never ordered wine in a pub (although I saw white wine on tap at a bar the other day - very odd). From an offy, just get a bottle that's about £4-5 and you'll be good to go if you're not too fussy. As for brands, why not go for a lottery - pick up any random one. Although Jacob's Creek isnae bad if my wine-addled memory serves me correctly. Chilean red is good also. Bulgarian too.

In France they do have wine in bars. And if you dont drink wine in France, they kick you out of the country.
Red wine is my favourite, specially with a good meal involving red meat.
If you would consider chanpagne, I would recomend "Veuve Clicot" Moet& Chandon is more publicity than anything else (Is still good).
I can not comment on Cristal, but its surlly just publicity also.

You're like a 16 year old Mexican...

adrien, what country doesn't have wine in bars =| you don't get out much do you :P

Stopping drinking? Why yes. Yes it is.
I have no reason to stop my drinking - it's causing me no immediate or severe health problems (well, as long as I take my epilepsy medicine properly), it's not causing me to be anti-social (as in against society, violence etc.), I usually know my limit and what I can or can't drink (vodka is pure evil).
Drinking may not be the best thing a person can do for one's body but I enjoy it and I will continue to drink until it has a significant negative effect on my body or behaviour.
If people don't want to drink that's their choice and I respect that - it wasn't a criticsm of you, dear boy :)

The bottom line is that drinking is cool and you know it.

did you live with alcoholic parents
edit: this comment is in particular directed toward your last line :P

My uncle is literally drinking himself to death. :| He won't quit.

Odd that you don't advocate drinking but then you make this comment. Not a criticism, just an observation. I doubt that a person who drank themselves to death would be particularly happy at all.

And in reference to your last comments: Yes my parents drink, but no they're not alcoholics. The two aren't mutually inclusive.

And the "Drinking is cool" line was a joke, dear boy. It's only "cool" if you're 15 and you're getting wasted on Bacardi Breezers and White Lightning in a park. Well, they think they're cool.

\o/ I enjoy red whine now and again. I only drink the stuff when I'm "In the mood" though, because It isn't particularly refreshing.

believe me, I am not taking you deadly serious here, and indeed my previous comment was jocular, old boy. I am quite aware of the non-mutual-inclusivity of drinking and alcoholism, chum, no need to lecture me on that :)

all I know is I'd rather avoid alcohol during my lifetime, and instead get my fun through bank robbing or somesuch, so worry you not about me, chap :imu:
I think I've made over 100 posts today, someone tell me to stfu
I love imu

Some time ago I found out what alcohol really is: ze devil itself.

No really, hasn't got anything to do with awfully ending parties... I just noticed that time passes by a lot faster and most of the time I wasn't happier... ;)

attaboy, now come join my future gang of rogues as we terrorize the countryside!

Amen, same here, I have thaug about it also, but I know my limits, I have never gotten drunk, never vomited, so why quit ? Maybe when I'm older.

Sorry, dear boy - no lectures were intended.
I am interested, however, in why you'd like to avoid alcohol so much? Not in a "What a freak that fellow is" kind of a way. Just wondering. Although that I'm wondering that probably speaks volumes about my own character, dear boy.
stfu, dear boy.
I'm sure I'd love that weird imu bastard too if I knew what the f*cker was.
<Swigs cheap red wine from the bottle>

Oh, I forgot: I'm still drinking. And know my limits too.

I drink primarily red wine from spain (although we have little variety here in canada) ...anything from the Rioja region is good. Try Marques de Riscal, Campo Viejo or any of the Tempernillo grape varieties.

my old chum, I must tell you I dismiss alcohol by reverse role model scenario, that is, [by counter-example from] my father, old boy.
indeed it does speak volumes, even libraries of about your character, old boy.
good idea, chum.
I don't think anyone knows, old boy.

I think we ought to stop all this nonsense right now, my man.
If you'll excuse me, I'm off to drink red wine from tea cups and hunt that weird rabbit thing with a shotgun on my estate. Then I can kill it, stuff it and mount it.

yes, this has been a most brilliant back-and-forth it has, and it seems about the right time to discontinue such, eh, old boy?

I'll meet you tomorrow for our weekly croquet match, chum.
