In Half Life 2 Episode 2 at the final chapter when Gordon, Eli, Alyx and Kliner are watching the transmission from Judith, when it reveals Borealis there is a part shown from the ship containing the logo and name of Aperture Science and Kliner mentions it too. This company is the company which creates glados in the game portal. Also in Portal Prelude G-man comes and talks to one of the two observing scientists (Eric and the other one whom I can't remember his name) and later he (g-man) could be seen watching the player (although he looks dead for his eyes are completely white). The question here is, are these two games related? I read in another forum that Valve wanted to create the portal gun in half life but they realized the logic of the puzzles would be too strange for many and even worse if it is followed by some serious gun fight! So Valve gives the game portal out in order to do two things. First to test and see how the responses to this gun and this logic is; and second, make a logical ending and beginning for Aperture Science and also a logical insertion of the portal gun in the game Half Life. Is this true? What do you think?
