Hey, i wanted to make a bind so when i press del it reloads and says
cover me (radio command) any clue?

bind "r" "+reload; wait; wait; -reload;wait; wait; radio1; wait; wait; slot1"

that works

but dont know why the radio command box stays up

thats a great idea but i dont think anyone listens to radio commands

I hear the radio commands... but I don't listen. Plus, that bind would get annoying, in my opinion. Every time you reload... "COVER ME!" ... ehh...

I reload twice each round(depending how many peepz on server :D), so its not really that anoying.

Thx for the command!

We don't pay attention to the radio commands, because every time someone throws a grenade, regardless of the type, it calls over the radio. Then you have the radio spammers, that run down the list of chat commands just to hear it.

WHY would someone, when entering a door, yell "Fire in the hole!" when you're trying not to be noticed? There's enough time for the people on the other side to hear that and move away, and come back.

there is a guy that plays on the "irish online server" that has it binded so that a written message comes up...

eg. im reloading, cover me
or
throwing flashbang , take cover...

Not sure how to do it though.will try to find out.

Commands help out a lot, from my own limited experience I know that using the commands for the right situation can save a life... :D

Edit: Then again, I'm not sure I would go as far as binding messages like that. It is not that difficult to see in the corner of your eye when one of your teammates is reloading.

On the other hand I wish there was a taunt for "enemy heard", would complement "enemy spotted" quite nicely.

That kind of binded messages make me want to strangle people. Atleast if theyre using them on public server - do they honestly think someone would care a big red f*ck about what weapon they bought or if theyre throwing a flashband or reloading. For grenades theres already a automatic "fire in the hole" and it doesnt really help at all, you dont know where hes throwing it...

I've once seen a guy on a pub actually using such a macro. Everytime he reloaded his darn M4, the whole team would hear "cover me"... He'd stay in cover, pop off a few shots at the terrorist two miles away and... "COVER ME!"

Guess what, i actually ran away from him so he'd get outflanked and killed quicker. annoying twit.

Ugh, people who bind messages to what equipment they have bought annoy me too. Firstly, why should I care? and secondly, is knowing that going to make any difference to my round. I wouldn't mind too much, but the people who have it normally have a ton of others, and it's just distracting for me.

Maybe i'll put some binds such as W to 'moving forward' Space to 'Jumping' Mouse1 to 'shooting' And see how they fecking like it.

I know it's unimportant but it's one of those things that irks me a great amount for no good reason :\

lol its a cool idea but people spam that stuff way to much, i blame the kiddies

lol Most people say enemy spotted before the buy time is even over!

I prefer to use the mic.
For example when I am low helth and need to reload but my only exit is blocked by teammates,I press the mic button and yell: GET THE **** OUT OF MY WAY!,and they move along ^_^.

alias reload "radio1; wait;wait; menuselect 1; wait; wait; reload; say_team im reloading, cover me!; "

I've learnt all the radio commands, i never type cos theres no need, and the mic is just annoying. I play properly in that respect, on site of an enemy, (c,2 enemy spotted) then a little c3 (need backup), or z6 (taking fire need assistance) then capped off after an exchange of bullets with a little c4 which ironically is sector clear. More professional and good players will listen.

I never use area clear anymore. I always get shot in the face halfway through saying it :(

Yea, saying "Sector Clear" is just asking to get you shot. I never use it anymore either. Its cursed.

I have my radio commands unbound, due to the fact that sometimes I twitch...and if I twitch in the head of battle, I will hit Z X or C and that menu will come up, then I try ot switch to pistol...I radio command something, get killed. SO i just forgot about it, turned Z into my 1337 Restock armor/ammo/nades button, and enjoy life quieter.
