Removing Text from the screen

in CS you can remove the typing text from the screen, but how can you do that in CSS? any clues?

i dont want any text on the screen.

There is a remove chat feature in the spectator command menu, but it doesn't work. Personally I think it sucks becuase I don't think my partents or sister would appreciated seeing "OH MY ****ING GOD MOTHER****ING HAX0RS! ****!" :|

you possibly have spoken the smartest words in this forum,

but htats just one of many reasons, im sick of noobs joining, getting owned by me and saying i hack,

its something like hud_showtext or something like thast (try cl_ to), and set it to 0 (defualt is 30 something i think). i believe this will work, sorry for no actual help :/

hud_saytext_time 0 (default is 12 to reset it)
