Renaming site?

As it is evident that with the Lost Coast, Aftermath and HL3 coming along, it will be odd for the site to be called Halflife2.net, not to mention with all the official mods, i.e. CounterStrike Source and Day of Defeat as well as remake of HL

If the mods decided to change the name, what would you like them to change it too?

My personal favourite is Decay.net :thumbs:

I still don't understand what's wrong with halflife2.net - the site is about a game, called half life 2. things like CS, aftermath etc.. are mods/expansions for the game......... you guessed it... half life 2

Also, considering it has nothing about HL1, renaming it "Half-life.net" would be a bit arkward.
Keep it as it is until something huge is announced about HL3 I say.

If you get rid of this domain when HL3 comes out, you should donate it to a random forum member. Then whoever wins it could slap up one of those search-engine keyword sites with 100 pop-ups and make some £$£$.

In all seriousness though, as SM mentioned... Everything on this site is in some way related to HL2 (apart from the politics forum which is the worst mistake in the history of HL2.net) so the site will stay named HL2.net until there is an appropriate need to change it

Actually, Halflife 3 will be the last. Valve wants it to be a trilogy, and the story is already written. (So they aren't exactly about to change it)

I am anxious(sp?) to see what other games Valve will make. Actually the more I think about it, the cooler it is. OMG I want Valves next game right now.

They have never confirmed that they want HL to be a trilogy or not. Ask Mardc Laidlaw, he'll probably say he can't talk about it

Nah PC ZONE asked Doug Lombardi about the trilogy rumour and he said they honestly don't know how many they are going to make and arn't sure where that idea came from

Well aftermath is an expansion of HL2, but its through the eys of Gordon once more, so technically, theres three games with Gordon in it already, Seven if you include Aftermath, Lost Coast and HL Generations (Not including counterstrike nor DOD as they don't include Gordon or the HL background)

Indeed but that doesnt make it a trilogy

And you don' generally count expansions
