Any of you SW fans going to get this game? I've played the demo and i must say it's looks pretty good. I can't wait for the full version to come out.

I enjoyed the xbox demo alot more compared to the PC one. Its more of a console game imo. So yes, i will be getting it.

Have been playing the full verson for a few hours now. Im disapointed. It feels way to consoleish to be a PC fps. Extremely linear too. No real Star Wars feeling either(yes im aware that this takes place after Ep 2)..

might work for the Xbox players who are used to shitty Halo gameplay..

avoid this one...

shitty Halo gameplay..

Can't be bothered to argue, except to say that in my opinion Halo is an extremely good game.

Republic commando is linear, simplistic, and devoid of tactics. But it's also very very fun and has lots of shiny explosions and lasers. Not bad at all, really.

Perfect! Let me note this on my clipboard! We have now found that All halo players don't care about gameplay, but like shiny big flashy things! Great! Our research is complete!

j/k :P

EDIT: uuuh, I played the demo of this, and I didn't like it. I liked the way you order your friends round, but other than that - welcome to serious sam 3: The empire strikes forward.... Uuh..

I got a kick out of that.

I played the demo, and I thought it was way too linear. The graphics were nice, but threre was no real feel of tactics and freedom. I will wait for Brothers In Arms for a good tactical shooter. :)

Here we go again...

A i too believe Halo 2 was somewhat average, but I wouldn't compare it to Halo 1. I don't actually feel that RC is anything like Halo but there you go.

Any PC game that is developed for PC and consoles at the same time immediately gets crossed off my list without a second's thought. I consider them all trash. I think this is the single most worrisome trend that is coming to light in the PC gaming market. At least we still have a few new titles like HL2 that don't stoop to this despicable level.

I understand that in this day and age with so many software companies out there, they're just trying to get as much bang out of their buck as possible. It also means they are turning out trash games. And it means I won't buy them.

Oh yeah and I thought the Republic Commando demo sucked @ss.

Here's the thing: we shouldn't compare Republic Commando and Halo.

Rebuplic Commando is of the Medal Of Honor school of design - little tactical or actual freedom, linear, scripted, but what exquisite scripting (although I'll admit the scripting in RC isn't actually that good)! Republic Commando is: run, run, duck for cover, shoot, shoot, brave fire to rescue teammate, blow open door, SPLODE! Repeat. Fun through excitement - but it doesn't last that long.

Halo, meanwhile, is mainly composed of tactics on a miniscule scale. Which rock do I hide behind? Enemies: which one do I shoot first? Which weapons do I take? Which one do I use? Where's that Elite gone? SPLODE! Repeat. Fun through excitement but also, and more importantly, fun through tactical decision. The fact that it survived the transition from joypad to mouse and keyboard without becoming too much easier, despite the fact that it's so much easier to aim, proves this point in my opinion.

See? Halo is a good game.
