"They are accepting money from the same corporations. And of course, that is going to corrupt you."

"The biggest threat to American democracy is corporate power," Kennedy told us. "There is vogue in the White House to talk about the threat of big government. But since the beginning of our national history, our most visionary political leaders have warned the American public against the domination of government by corporate power. That warning is missing in the national debate right now. Because so much corporate money is going into politics, the Democratic Party itself has dropped the ball. They just quash discussion about the corrosive impact of excessive corporate power on American democracy."

The article from the exception of that is a load of honkey, but I like these two paragraphs.

you gotta admit there's a payback for that cash.

corporations own government, once you understand that it's not really all that surprising (how else do they raise money for campaigns) ...I'd have thought the numbers for both parties would be higher

here's a good example:

contributors to bush party also have no bid contracts in iraq:

Halliburton-KBR (2.3 billion), Bechtel Corporation (US$1.03 billion), International American Products (US$527 million), Perini Corp. (US$525 million), Fluor (US$500 million), and the Washington Group International (US$500 million).

Yah! Capitalism sucks! Lets try communisim, after all it has only killed 100 million people.

Not more? But capitalism has claimed many lives too, no doubts about that...

It's shocking to hear about this, it's insane that cooperations can control american politics like this, but hardly suprising. I'm glad that this form of corruption hasn't reached Sweden yet...

When unable to make an actual argument, rely on hyperbole.

Corporation aren't the biggest threat to democracy. It is the people themelfes, I read the magazine WIRED, which we can hopefully agree are a good and objective mag, now there you could see that 75% of the bush campaign donation were made by ordinarly people and only 13 or 18% of corporations, the democratic party actually recieved more. Now the problem is the people who like simple lies instead of complicated truth, and who do not mind that their leaders are maken themselfes richer of their backs, for examply by giving contracts to their own companies.

I would rather have all the population middle-class, than 10% of the population upper class and 90% lower class. But there're many communinist threads, we should get on topic.

Wired is obviously run by right wing fanatics with the sole purpose of spreading lies and recieving funds and business from the Bush administration and profiting from the unjust war on Iraq as much as possible (yay, look at me I made a baseless conspirecy!)

Nah man, I consider them the smart republicans, WIRED is for me one of the most intelligent and objective magazines ever, it critisizes the reps and democrats. Why do you believ that?

I was just kidding, expecting some moron to say how incredibly biased the magazine is.

Hey, if you hate Republicans and Democrats... you're a friend of mine.

No, communism is flawed. It relies on the concept that labour is the main source of a countries income. It isn't, and hasn't been for a while.

This isn't a question of communism VS capitalism.

It is simply a matter of separating capitalism from democracy.

Not an easy task, but political parties should be able to decide what is right for the people first and corporations second.

Yes but in the futur if we have machines that can make most things we need cheaply, kapitalism will be a even more lawed theory to follow.
