There was a thread here as well as a few I saw on various image boards across the intarwebs with art that can only be described as "nature takeover." In other words, it was various modern settings featuring vines, moss, flowers and plants and in some cases animals taking over the abandoned steel/cement/parks or whatever it may be. There was a particularly cool one I saw recently of a fair grounds with an old bumper car arena photoshopped to look like grass was cracking through the pavement.

I love this stuff, where can I find more?

Thanks Koola, those are gorgeous. I particularly like the first one, though they're all pretty unique and awesome. There seems to be a wide range in this particular category of art, some are more dramatic and bluntly over the top, whereas the ones you posted are more subtle, simply showcasing abandoned rural and industrial areas. I wonder where the second picture is posted, it looks an awful lot like a lot of industrial factory areas of the outskirts of a place like Milwaukee or Seattle, though I'm sure it's someplace different entirely (perhaps it's someplace in Europe?).

I digress. Thanks again Koola, great stuff.

Nice pics of Chernobyl

I should have guessed. :E

Maybe try using the search terms "urban decay"?

Unless that's not specific enough for you since you want more aspects of living nature involved, I'm assuming bushes and vines and shit?

Just scenes of areas that were once inhabited by people being taken over by nature, nothing overly specific. "urban decay" would actually be interesting to search
