Research: The most interesting mod to you?

Hello everyone.

I'm not sure if everyone know about this, but I'm the Site Director of the sister site .Dev for halflife2.net. .Dev will be the development/mod part of this site (Stand alone though, with it's own design and forums). The main idea behind the whole site is that members can add almost everything on the site. That is articles, tutorials, links, mods and so on. The site is now done and before we release it to the public, we need some more content (Don't want a naked site!).

I need help to list the most interesting mods, with their name and URL so i can keep track of everything. Mod leaders, you can expect a mail from me soon after your mod has been linked in here.

Writers (Articles and tutorials) are also welcome to get in contact with me. You can email me at [email protected] .

Thanks for your help!

goddman upside avatars with your cool secret jokes...sob....

If you have a mod site get on to mister Manke and force him to make a they hunger mod, better that than these other zombie mods we are seeing...although they doo look awesome.

Last Great War = Dead
Jurassic: Rage = Farcry
Chaos-Ops = ut2k4

Corporate Anarchy = Wowowowow I/WE have a fan :D
Op-Coin = True True (Budweiser)

Malin = I havn't had much info.

Resistance and Liberation = Negative (LOL)

Nuclear dreams is the only mod I'm really hoping for.

edit: oh, and malin of cource.

and if they can pull it of, "entropy" sounds nice. But I doubt it will ever be completed. Way too ambitious.

Neone have a link to Malin, I frankly haven't heard of it.
/shame on me calling myself a mod guy.

As for Entropy, yeah, their forums are kinda...dead...But I do hope they succeed. They had such a great headstart too.

*Waves a little Lawyeresque flag*

I'd nominate my own mod, but then again, it's not officially announced, doesn't have a name, nor a website. So I'll get back to you on that one.

It's my mod :)

www.malinmod.com (its already registered at .Dev ;))

Thanks for all the links guys. Pendragon: I think i made a thread like this before... but its kinda out of date now since several mods moved/died.

LGW /= Dead.
Last Great War
Chaos-Ops /= ut2k4
Chaos-Ops
J:R /= Farcry
Jurassic: Rage

LOL, Seriously, where DO you get your information???

Last Great War did fold. Also one of there members decided to pritty much wipe the forums at the same time. No hl2 news site has had any news post about there return. So I am guessing they are still dead.

Chaos Ops is a ut2k4 mod, you can download it now. Hmmm I just realisted its now called Chaos UT2. But the mod has been running for about 2/1 year and I am sure it was called Chaos ops:

Jurrasic Rage recently went to the Farcry engine acording to farcry mod sites. I traded in Farcry so I don't know if they have moved back or not. As I don't follow the Facry modding community anymore.

Its not a voting thread... its more like a thread to help me when im being lazy.

Dystopia is still going strong, tho we're holding off on any more press until half-life 2 is released..(don't blame me, it was management's decision :)

Honestly, I think its a good decision, because putting too much out before "actual" production starts can over saturate people with stuff that doesnt matter that much.

Anyways, I cant wait to see most of the mods out there, some great ideas and hopefully those teams can push out some kick ass content.

Actually, the reason we decided to stop releasing press was because of the reponses other mod teams have been getting lately, like in this thread;
http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=24586

It's a sad state of affairs when this sort of thing happens..

yeah. its freakin atrocious. unfortunatly there really isnt much to post about other than models, skinned or no. i've decided im not goign to post any more news outside our site and forums, until we really have something interesting to show.

Yeah that is too bad. Good luck to your guys mods, I really hope they suceed.

Maj, email me if you want me to write something for you!

Oh My God! Read the ****ing manual newbie, for ****s sake, what the **** Edge of Justice ?

Even not in acronyms I am unable to understand what Maj wrote....

"Edge of Justice" Thanks for clearing that one up.

The acronyms gets kinda... overused sometimes :)

ok, I get the irony....

That was weird.

Sprafa: I was up, unable to sleep because of exam anxiety. What else? :E

I would have to say the most interesting modification, in my opinion, would have to be either Operation: Co-In, Entropy, or Resistance and Liberation. RnL will be the WW2 hit for HL2, Op: Co-In will be the modern warfare hit for HL2, and Entropy will be a very unique modification all together.

If they can pull it off... which, IMHO, they cant.

Thanks for all the replys... the emails should go out today... even if its "midsommar" and im drunk.

I've seen the site, it's great! Very slick interface, and much faster than these forums usually are (though it does have much less traffic, being private :p).

For the record: We're on the same server as halflife2.net... so we have the same traffic basically :)

Im collecting the emails right now.. should be any minute now.

IchI: hmmm.... interesting....but.....
LGW had that happen, but now they're back and good. Chaos Ops looks to be similar to a ut2k4 mod called Frag Ops (CS clone), but the hl2 Chaos ops is still here.

I'd say CW:MP, but it's already there :p
