Resident Evil 4 Already in the Works

Germany's Constantin Film and its genre production company, Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt's Impact Pictures, are preparing for a fourth installment of their successful "Resident Evil" franchise before the third film in the series has even begun shooting.

Constantin head of production Martin Moskowicz said that the third film, Resident Evil: Afterlife, will shift locations to shoot in Australia, with principle photography planned for November or December.

Resident Evil 4 will be set in Tokyo, and Impact/Constantin is looking to shoot the film in Japan. "Afterlife" will be set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies. The film will play in the Nevada desert with the Aussie outback standing in for the American wasteland. In the final reel, the action will shift to Japan, setting up the fourth edition.

Milla Jovovich is set to reprise her signature role as Alice though no formal deal has been signed yet. Paul W.S. Anderson is finishing the script for the third edition. He directed the first Resident Evil and wrote the sequel Resident Evil: Apocalypse.

I liked resident evil 2 movie - cause it gave alot of homage to classic zombie films and it was just fun. So Im sure ill be seeing this later when its released, but ill have low expectations by then.

Yep I really liked the 1st one while the second was too... ridiculous for my taste but still a fun action movie to watch. Looking forward to the next ones.

No one even has to flame. This movie will be horrible simply by virtue of Apocalypse's ending alone. Except now, it's great, we get to see two hours of Robo-Alice using the Force and making people bleed out of their eyes using her psychic ebola virus attack.

Seriously, the material writes itself here, folks.

Ninja edit: I bet at some point during the movie she learns to control the zombies, as well. Any takers?

Yeah, it was horrendous. And he is makign the blood rayne movie and the far cry movie. Not good
