I finished Resident Evil (for the GameCube) twice this week. First time was with Jill, clocked at about 8 hours. The second time was with Chris, just six minutes over 5 hours. Had I clocked under 5 hours, I would have received the Samurai Edge (some überleet handgun). Both were on normal difficulty. My time suprised me, because I basically sprinted through the game with minimal stops (I saved sixteen times), and I could skip a few puzzles as I already knew how to solve them (such as the computer passwords in the lab). I guess I'll try again.
I must say that I liked playing as Chris. His story is more interesting because he meets up with Rebecca. Their interactions are more involved than Jill's and Barry's. Plus, I just love Rebecca . It was also easier because Chris can take quite a beating in combat, unlike Jill. Then again, inventory management was a bit problematic.
I also have Resident Evil Zero for the GameCube, which is also cool. And you get to play Rebecca o). The character designers at Capcom really succeeded with her.
Finally, does anyone else agree that both games are some of the most visually stunning games made to date? The lightning and "texture" effects are just amazing.
