John looks both directions before running across the crumbled street. "It's clear" He says as he and the rest of the resistance fighters sprint across to a empty building. "Take defensive positions, I think I hear something" John says as a suspicious look emerges on his face. John lifts his MP7 up, and slowly walks into the narrow hallway filled with paper and trash. The feeling that your being watched feels Johns body... "DROP THE GUN!" A Combine says as he walks out of a door to Johns left side. "I have caught a Resistance fighter in Sector J9, take him as a Prisoner or eliminate?" Asks the Combine over his radio.
John doesn't drop the gun... "DROP THE GUN OR DIE" Yells the Combine soldier knocking John over the head with his weapon. John slowly lowers the gun to the floor, but he isn't giving up this easily. The Combine has made a mistake John notices, the gun he is holding is right behind a small strap on the Combines suit, and if he trys to raise it, the iron site on the tip of the gun will get caught in it momentarily. Of course, this is assuming the Combine will raise the gun John silently thinks to himself. He has no other choice, John raises his MP7 as fast as he can, quickly turning to the Combine. His judgement is right, the Combines weapon gets stuck in his suit and the Combine fires wildly, but it is to late, the small rounds from the Mp7 strike the Combine soldier in the chest, then into his face. The Combine falls to the ground lifeless. The other resistance fighters rush into the room hearing the gun shots "What the hell happened" questioned another Resistance fighter. "Nothing I haven't done before" John replies breathing heavilly. John has always been real lucky when it comes to fighting the Combine...he's just wondering when his luck will run out.

Part II
___________________________________________________________________

The sound of sparatic gunshots echo through the narrow back alley as a cool breeze surrounds John. John puts his back against the cold concrete wall and covers himself with some newspapers as him and his fellow resistance fighters take turns guarding the alley. John takes one quick look at the stars, and he closes his eyes...this is the first time he has slept in almost a week.............

"WAKE UP JOHN!! WAKE THE HELL UP!" Screams a fellow resistance fighter. John quickly jumps up and wipes the crust out of his eye lids. "What is going on!?" asks John in a confused state. "There is Striders every freaking where!" replied the resistance fighter. John huddled all the resistance fighters up and opens a case of RPGs. "Remember, aim for the knees and they should go down, but do NOT, and I repeat DO NOT let the damn thing see you." John said with a worried look on his face. John picked up a RPG and so did the other resistance fighters. "Follow me" John said

John peaked around the corner, and right away he knew something was suspcious. "oh my...I count over 8 Striders, what the hell is going on" John said worridly. Usually the Combine did patrols with Striders every week, but not this many he thought to himself. John followed by the resistance fighters move building to building, watching out for any Combine soldiers along the way. "Ok guys, I need 4 of you to stay here, another 4 to come with me, also, those that are staying here, do not fire until you see me fire, got it?" John said to the group. John took off running, followed by 4 more resistance fighters. John opened a small sewage hatch and dropped a rope. "We're going to go underneath them and flank them, this way we can converge on them from both flanks." John explained to his group. They moved there way through the wet, moldly sewers and finally got to their destination. John is the first to climb up to scan for any potential dangers. Its clear he motions to the others. John climbs up and lays down in the rubble with the RPG aimed at the Striders knee. "Ok guys, pick one Strider and one Strider only, I got the far left one" John told the group. Each one picked a certain Strider and told John they was ready. "Here we go" Said John as he fired his first shot.....suddenly, as he commanded, 8 quickly moving RPGs followed by a trail of white smoke danced toward the Striders. John just hoped that they wouldn't have to fire again....

END PART 2

Good story
One minor thing thats bothering me is verb tense. e.g.

"They moved there way through the wet, moldly sewers and finally got to their destination. John is the first to climb up to scan for any potential dangers." etc.

Pick one tense and stick to it. But otherwise, good stuff!

use past tense it sounds much better

or visit the threat called "A combine story" there you will see :)

Thanks Eber.... A Combine Story is My Thread, Do You Like It?

Part III

Eight quickly moving rocket propelled grenades smashed into all eight Striders, causing an array of explosions. "BINGO!" cheered John as about six Striders crashed to the ground, followed by sounds of twisting metal and crushed concrete. "SHIT! There is two remaining, reload and fire!!!!!!" yelled John, who was now worried that the Striders would retaliate. Suddenly, without warning, a large ball of what looked to be a an area of warped air appeared at the nose of the top of the Strider. "SHOOT THAT DAMN STRIDER!!!!" ordered John. Three RPGs fired, and John watched in disbelief as the RPGs crashed into the nose of the Strider, causing a magnificant explosion sending him and his fellow resistance fighters into a wall, knocking John unconscious.

It was his mom and dad John noticed, walking down the street holding hands. They seemed happy, like there was no trouble in the world. Was this a dream John thought, or was he going crazy? Suddenly, his dad dropped to the ground as a fast moving streak of light passed through his head. "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" screamed Johns mother, falling down and holding her now dead husband. "Get away from the dead body, or else." cracked a loud, powerful voice from above. John looked up, now in a state of confusement. It was a Combine Gunship, hovering above his mother and his now deceased father. What was going on? He never heard the details of how his parents died. All he heard was they was brutally murdered by the Combine. Suddenly, his mother pulled a pistol from his deceased fathers pocket, and as she raised to fire at the gunship, a large ball of light smashed into the ground, setting her and the corpse on fire. John couldn't take it anymore, he started running....but he couldn't. It was as if he was running as fast as he can, but he was still where he was before. John listened as his mother screamed in agony from being burnt alive. John fell to his knees, and began to cry. The Combine Gunship was not finished however. A door on the bottom of the gunship opened, and 3 Combine soldiers dropped out of it. John stared in disbelief, he could not belief this was happening. Or was it? The Combine soldiers walked up to the now burnt to crisp bodies, and pulled out their weapons. Flashes emerged from the tip of the weapons, landing into the burnt flesh of his parents. They was all unloading every single bullet they had into these dead bodies. But why? Was they not already dead? John started to feel weak and dizzy, and then.....all went black.
