Just bought a GeForce 9600 GSO and my screen resolution is only going up to 1024 x 768. My previous card (GeForce 7600) could go up to 1360 x 768. There's nothing wrong with the picture, but im just wondering why I can't get higher res. My monitor is a Dynex 26 in. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Stupid question, but did you install the drivers?

Haha. Yes I did...can't run this graphics card w/o drivers. For some reason though, Directx 10 won't install...Keeps saying CD key is Corrupt :(. Maybe thats the problem?

Did you install from the CD or download the latest from the website?

Uninstalled old driver before installing new driver? Yeah it is a stupid question that must be answered.

I found the problem. The driver didn't install correctly for a mysterious reason. The online download worked. Thanks for the help anyway.

Protip #1: Never install drivers off of a OEM CD.

Yeah I second that.
CD driver are always outdated. Rather install hardware, then windows will install genetic driver, or ask you to install it manually, in which you have to refuse and press "Cancel." Log online and DL latest driver from product website. Easy :p

Good Luck and enjoy your new hardware
