Resolution

Hi

I managed to set the resolution in CS:S too high for my monitor to support, now when I start CS:S it goes straight to a screen showing 'no video input'.

How can I fix this? How can I change the resolution from outside the game?

That sucks :/.

In the "Play Games" right click on CS: Source, click on advance, and in the box where you place the additional parameters, try this:-vid_config_x 800 -vid_config_y 600

Once you have the game started, you can remove those and adjust your resolution in game.

I'm not sure if the instructions are completely accurate , but just try to find a way to start CS with these parameters.

I think you might be onto somthing here... It didn't work, but this sure looks like the right way to approach the situation...

Can you give me the EXACT cmd line to put in there? I'm a little confused by the - and the _ you included...?? Should they be there?

Update:

OK, I solved the problem... If anyone else has the same prob, here is the solution:

Do as above, but enter: "-w 800 -h 600" [without the quotes].

And as a side note - you should always search on steampowered.com first before bugging good people like 'Thesomeone' on here...

Do you have an old monitor?

Most monitors can exceed 1280 x 1024 now.
