restore game saves

I had to reinstall , but I backed up the steam files, but hl2 doesnt seem to recognize the saves. :frown:

can anyone help

I dunno, can you be a bit more specific, how do you mean 'does not recognise' and are you sure they werent corrupted by a different part of your computer?
