`Restore Patriotism to University Campuses Act'.
By: Rep. Duncan Hunter (Republican-CA)

Purpose: To prohibit Federal grants to or contracts with Columbia University.

Reason: because Columbia University allowed Iranian president Ahmadinejad to speak there.

Specifics: Denial of Funds for Permitting State Terrorist Access to Campus- No funds described in subsection (b)(1) may be provided by contract or by grant to Columbia University of New York, New York, or any subelement of Columbia University.

hmm if this bill passes half the universities in the US would lose funding ..coincidentily shortly after a visit by GW Bush

some americans think that freedom means being able to control what other people say ..this Duncan Hunter should dragged in the middle of Washington square, horse whipped, tarred and feathered and then strung up the highest flag pole as a reminder
 
It would not shock me if the pussy democrats would actually go along with this. After all, we certainly don't want to call the democrats patriotism in to question.

Like Bill Maher (sp?) said on his show the other day, today the democrats are going to vote on wether the republicans should take all their lunch money or just some of it.
 
lol, too true ..I cant believe they feel the need to force people to behave/act a certain way ..I mean the Columbia thing was hardly supportive of Ahmadinejad (man he's got the worst name for a leader)
 
Disgusting.

I bet Saudi Arabia's king could've went to any university and telling people that women shouldn't be allowed to vote and still got a pat on the back by Bush and a bunch of flowers from the Congress.

We need to defend our freedumbs of speech by curtailing our freedumbs of speech.

I believe Orwell coined the term "Doublethink" to describe such trains of thought.

Patriotism should come from an individual freely arriving there, not from coercion.

He's running for president, and he won the republican texas straw poll. I don't think people will be tarred ad feathered, in texas at least
