Ridiculous fps and my comp. meets min requirements.

Well...

Hubs are somewhat bad, but this scene is insane ;-o

I used 4x AA, but it doesn’t really do anything, something like -10%fps etc.
800*600 is almost as bad as 1024 resolution, and it looks bad too

Computer is:
P4 HT 2,6GHz
1,5GB dual channel “400MHz” memory (2*512 & 2*256)
ATI 9700

(I could overclock this to 3,25GHz (using 250/200 bus/mem settings), but I can restart my comp until next weekend, so I can’t try that now ;(

I’m considering buying new video card (6800GT), but I don’t believe that is just because my video card?

Any idea what to try next?

It's not you so much as it is the game. For some reason Vampire was released buggy and unoptimized so everybody has been having performance problems. I've heard that Troika's been given the green light to work on a patch and that we should see something before Christmas. Hopefully the patch will concentrate on a lot of performance fixes.
