Right computer speaker crackling/static issue

My right computer speaker is staticy. Real bad too. So, I bought new speakers, still static!!! What could the problem be??? I don't know what to check. Thanks!

Turn down the bass.

probably a grounding issue

Make sure no power cables are lying parallel to the speaker or audio cables, make sure the amplifier (in your case probably the subwoofer) isn't close to a power source or other amplifiers (TL beams can interfere alot), don't put the pc colume low and the amplifier volume high (balance it). If nothing helps, try different speaker cables and connectors. If it still happens, check your soundcard. If it's still there, get your ears checked.
