Some of you may have heard of clan FaLLeN kNiGhTs on US West, I was in it, the 2nd longest stayed member next to my leader, and a couple days ago it officially died. I've had a hard time dealing cause I was in it since I was 11, and now I'm 15, so I guess you could say I kind of grew up in it. I'm feeling pretty homesick, and have no idea what's become of my friends that were in the clan because they aren't even on AIM anymore. So I've switched to HL2.net as my new home. Hope I can stay here for the rest of the forum's existence. :D

Condolences, I guess. Sucks that you can't get in contact with your friends...couldn't you e-mail them, or did you have some other form of communication, like a forum or an IRC channel? Try and get in touch with one person and see if they can get in touch (or have been talking to) others, if possible. Maybe your leader knows how to contact them via other means.

Man, this thread just makes me realize how old my clan is. Ten years already...we've got people that grew up in it too. Got one guy who joined who was 12 when he joined up and now he's like 18-20. I can never remember his real age because he'll always be 12 to us.

I was in a clan for several years, leaving was rough.

I just pretend all my old clanmates are dead.

Diablo II?

Yeah, and we were Starcraft, Warcraft 2 BNE, Warcraft 3, and FROZ, and we were about to expand to the source games, but then some asshole hacked our forums and site and deleted everything and installed a bunch of addons to the forums making the bill over $100. My leader disbanded us because he didn't have the money to try and get different scripts. Nobody else would step up and take one for the team. Yeah, we had a forum, and the funny part is that over half of the clan is STILL out on vacation. What a rude greeting... Go on vacation the clan's running fine, you come back and nothing's working and you're wondering "WTF?!"

It was so unfair. :(

I remember way back when I played CS, there was a group of 3 servers (all in the same place) that I played on all the time, for a year at least. Then, all of a sudden all of the servers and the website were shut down, just like that. I learned later from a RL friend who also played on the server that the server owner was running everything at work without permission and they found out. Impressive he was able to run everything for so long, but still it sucked losing so many online friends with absolutely no warning.

So you had a bunch of members, and nobody chipped in?

At least someone should have paid it, and set up ads on the site to gain a little revenue, if the clan is as popular as they say.

I used to be in the Airborne [ABN] clan. I was in it for over a year in the Day of Defeat division. There was way to much drama in that clan though, and frankly I just couldnt take gaming as seriously as some of those people did. I had a lot of good times though.

Well I think the main problem was that most of the members that were there when it happened (Remember, half of the clan was out on vacation) were under 16 years of age. We were steady around 100 members for our last year, but only a few members would actually be loyal to the clan out of every batch of recruits, and with every recruit gone became another enemy to FK. Eventually one of the newer members recruited a hacker, and he didn't think the clan was good enough for him, so he hacked our sites. D:
