I don't think this really belongs in the tv section, since its not so much about the tv show, as the amazing, weird, crazy things that people do on the show, and perhaps things that never even make it on the show.
I was watching it today, and they were talking of a carrier deck crewman who was sucked into the jet engine of a fighter jet, and miraculously survived, without too much bodily injury. There was even a military video footage of it, and its scary to watch as the guy walks up near the plane, and his whole body like a ragdoll just sort of folds up and gets sucked into the jet intake. Apparently he could not breathe while in there and luckily another crewman managed to shut off the jet's engines and they got the guy out.
Quite a survival story, when compared to all the horrific stories I have been reading about when doing a search engine search on the subject, talking about people getting sucked into jet airliner turbine engines. ICK! I mean, I can understand how you could survive getting sucked into a fighter jet engine intake, because there's no blades or anything, but a jet turbine engine? Seeing something like that would cause nightmares for me forever.
