Robin Hood?

I think I'd like it..too bad I can't watch it :(

The lead character looks like he's about 20, and doesn't seem likeable.

A slightly big mistake to make when the entire series is about him.

Here's what RadioTimes said:

It's hard not to feel that there was an awful lot of box-ticking when TV bosses discussed a new series of Robin Hood for Saturday tea time. A cute lead who looks like he might have auditioned for Busted for the teenage girls in the audience (tick); gratuitous shots of cleavage for the dads (tick); Richard Armitage in black leather and eyeliner for the mums (tick); and sword fights for little boys (tick). You see - something for all the family. Strangely, though, this is hardly stirring stuff. Jonas Armstrong as Robin is a pipsqueak of the type you'd send into the garden to play with his bow and arrow, just to get him out of the grown-ups' way. And what's the point of casting Keith Allen as the Sheriff of Nottingham if there's no chance for him to sink his teeth into the scenery? But things might pick up once Robin has assembled his merry men - we see only the beginnings of the selection process in this opening episode. And Armitage flounces darkly as Guy of Gisborne, so for many a swooning lady, that alone is doubtless worth the price of admission.

Prince of Thieves rocked. In a way :)

Did anyone watch the Robin of Sherwood series in the 80's, with Ray Winston as Will Scarlet? I loved that as a kid.

Its got Keith Allen in it, and he's ace.

Looking forward to it. If only because there hasn't been much good TV since Dr Who, and with seemingly no new news on Torchwood, I'm a bit lost for good TV.

Very good. It's not quite as good as I had hoped, but the action was certainly very good.

Sadly, the highlight was the Torchwood trailer they showed afterwards. :E

Ack. Sorry for the double post. Thanks for editing it Samon.

As for Marion, I thought her acting was terrible. Compared to everyone else that is.

Marion = teh sechs!

Guy seemed a good character, but Robin just seems to young to have been a Lord and gone Crusading :/

Torchwood trailer was good though :D

Her lines sucked...and yeah, her acting wasn't good. But she was hot.

Honestly I thought it was horrible. The acting in general was lame.

The script aswell. Making them say things like "I do not" instead of "I don't", just sounded stupid with their accents. It was cringeworthy and laughable.

It reminded me of shows like Xena and Hercules way too many times.

I'm inclined to agree. But after watching tripe like the Outsiders (poor, poor Brian Cox) it probably appeared better than it was. They sort of ruined the Sheriff.

I thought it was alright. Robin seemed, to me, a bit like Doctor Who. Upbeat, happy, making jokes about stuff that is serious and just... I dunno. I'm not sure what Robin was like in those days, but he seemed way different then to I imagine.

I think we all know that Robin Hood: Men in Tights was the best iteration of the story...
