There's something that's just not right about discussing the DLC even before the game comes out. Especially knowing there are going to be so many songs available so close to launch. My question is - WHY THE F*CK DIDN'T IT JUST COME WITH THE GAME YOU MONEY-GRUBBING BASTARDS?

I think it's a fair question. Especially when you're paying as much money as you're going to have to for Rock Band. I know a lot of that goes towards the peripherals, but Christ on a bike, this is a lot of songs that could have easily been put onto the game to make an even more epic and enjoyable experience. I know how capitalism works, but this stinks.

Some great songs on that list, looking forward to play "My Iron Lung" by Radiohead and "Heroes" by David Bowie

If they put more on the disc, then that would have inflated the original cost because everyone would have to license those tracks. If it's for download only, then only those that download them have to pay the price for them. The songs on disc are awesome in my eyes, and $170 is a good price point. They could have put a bunch more songs on the disc, but the price could have jumped to almost $200 because of licensing that music... You wouldn't want that now, would you?

So it's a balance between price, songs on disc, and songs that can be downloaded.

They also probably were still being worked on and tested after it went gold as well.

Pretty cool. 440 points is reasonable for 3 songs I think, especially taking licensing and all the rest into account. Being able to play them on every instrument will give a good bit of replay value atleast, as compared to something like Guitar Hero DLC.
