I know it's been out in the US for a long time, but it only came out in the UK on friday and despite the absurd price tag (got a bit off at my local games shop mind) I bought it. Having a blast but wondering if any hl2.netters fancy a bash online at some point?

Hmm. Through all the time I've put into Rock Band (I don't own it myself, a few of my friends do), I've never gone online with it. That's probably because when you have three friends around, Rock Band is the best multiplayer experience ever. I've sure it's cool online as well, just less personal.

I'm up for it, if you have the 360 version. I can't get the headset to work with the drum, or guitar controller though. The adaptor sucks.

Sam, as we discussed earlier...

I ****ING HATE YOU AND YOUR ONLINE PLAY ABILITIES!!!

Haha. 360 version. I haven't gone online yet either, other than to download Still Alive. I agree offline is fun, the game's gotten a hell of a lot of play already.

I'm a hard/expert drummer, expert guitarist/bassist and vocals varies considerably from medium up to expert on some songs that I can do.

I also just spilled orange juice on my crotch. YEAH!

Boston **** yeah,I love rock band
I think there is equally just as much DLC that original content now.

Love Rock Band, just got a couple songs off the Cars album

I love Rock Band.

We're missing a fourth so I'm trying to get into the whole "do guitar and sing at the same time", which I can nail a 90% on hard on juuuust about every song. It's a ton of fun.

Great party game or greatest party game?

I managed a bit of drums and vocals earlier. Now that I just use the headset instead of trying to balance the microphone.

Gamertag is Buist2k

Got together with a few friends last weekend and finished the endless setlist (58 songs in a row). I think I did about 40 of them on drums before my knee exploded. Thats when I moved to guitar.

So yeah Rock Band is ****ing awesome

Wow I'm frigging retarded for not thinking of using the headset.

I've had Rockband ever since December 25th and let me tell you, everytime I play it is like the first time. It's always a blast and gets everyone all into it and whatnot. Definitely worth the cash for the special edition even if my drum pedal broke (I don't pound the darn pedal, so stfu) and the guitar strum broke (though I fixed both no problemo).

Forgot to add that I have the 360 version and my gamertag is Sonickers in case you wanted to play.

I've only played the PS2 version mainly, but I got to play a bit of the 360 version a weekish ago. I'm pretty good on the drums, though I do have to drop down to hard for some songs because I've never put in the effort and actually gone into practice mode. Anyway, I tried a couple Nine Inch Nails ones my friend had downloaded (Perfect Drug, March of the Pigs) and JEEEEEZUS! Either I'm too used to the regular songs or that was pretty much the biggest bullshit I've ever seen.

i've been thinking about getting this, should i just wait for Guitar Hero World Tour?

cause i fancy their drum kit.

Guitar Hero's gonna cost more. Plus it's not Harmonix, so there's no guarantee of it's awesomeness.

I like the idea of the drum kit better, though, in theory at least. Closer to a proper electronic kit.

Guitar Hero will have more crap to do but you can't beat the DLC on Rock Band, and unless Activision plans to release atleast 3 new songs every week I'd stick with RB.

Not important to me though, I'm getting Guitar Hero anyways

How do you get the entless setlist? Is it just once you get so far in the band world tour?

And what difficulty? I'm stuck on hard on a couple of tier 8 songs, although I can handle won't get fooled again without much difficulty.

Expert varies for me, some are a lot more fun on expert, some on hard.

Rock band and Guitar Hero frighten me in the sense that it may persuade almost everyone who plays it to try and play the guitar and/or the drums in real life.

Some people should be kept away from attempting such things at all costs *shudders at thoughts of past band members*

Anyone got a custom pedal for the drums? My pedal has developed a rather large crack in it so I need something to replace it. Looking at a simple metal plate over it for the time being.

Just keep listen to your manager and eventually you'll unlock the setlist.

We all did it on expert. Only failed like one or two songs though

You're the polar opposite of 99% of the other GH haters. "Get a real guitar, you baby." shit like that. I guess I like you're approach a bit better, but not much :p
