As to the original topic, why the hell would keeping a disgruntled player be a smart move? For one he disrupts team chemistry and two he'll just be a big distraction for the team, if Fergie wanted what's best for his team he'd ship Ronaldo as far away as possible. This looks more like a personal / emotional decision rather than a business approach, hell the player doesn't even fit into the team's style so I don't see any value in this move.

Seriously I think Ronaldo is one of the best talents in the world. It's just a crying shame he's added diving and play acting into his book of talents. I can understand not wanting to throw such a talent away.

i think you Brits blew up Ronaldo's impact in Rooney's getting sent off. Remember he was later suspended for 2 games for his antics.

btw. i saw at least one assist of his that led to a goal in wc play. Maniche got a goal form a pass from Pauleta (iirc) from a play set up by Ronaldo.

I was polite and didn't say a thing. I'm just commenting on the fact that there are about 5 soccer threads circulating, and I think they could be condensed into one or two.. Remember that a great deal of us don't give a piss.. And it's a bit excessive.

Maybe not directly, but you know his presence on the field is already attracting almost all the attention from opposing defenders. Notice every time he touches the ball a whole crowd of defenders automatically collapses on him, which if he wasn't such a selfish prick would pass and setup for better situations rather than forcing 5v1. Either way, the man's got some ridiculous talent and it's a shame he's being such a prima donna with it.

Ronaldo is a diver and a cheater, but all i'm saying is, no matter what Ronaldo did or what he said to the referee, Rooney still deserved to be punished and that's something that a lot of England fans can't get round their thick heads, Rooney should of gotten a red card.
