YAY!
The local Theater is having a special premiere of LOTR: ROTK, and I'm going!!!
I can't wait, only 3 mores hours to go!
I'll be sure to tell all of you about it, if I don't fall over when I get home. :)
It doesn't start until 12:00, and I have to get up for work at 6:00...
But, it is well worth the deprevation!

EDIT: Oops! I meant it starts at Midnight.
Doh!

sorry to disapoint you, but your going to be missing some work or movie, the palying time is about 3 1/2 hours plus credits/advertising/previews.

Is work really more important than one of the greatest stories ever told translated into some of the greatest movies ever made? I think not. Unless you're a photographer for Playboy, then you should go to work.

Why would I be missing one of those?
I normally stay up until 1:30, anyway...
3:30 is just a bit of stretch.
I can do it, piece of cake.
My puppy had kept me up for four days straight...and I had worked all four of those days.
If I can make it for four days, while working an extremely manual-labor job, I can stretch my usual sleeping habit. I just happen to cherrish sleep, since I get so little already. :)

I thought you said it started at 3? Do you mean 3am or 3pm? If you meant 3am then that's why they said you would miss work if you have to be at work at 6am.

I'm going to a midnight showing too! I cannot wait! For one year I have had a ROTK desktop countdown clock. I remember putting the thing up after TTT and watching it count down the days very slowly. I can't believe that now it reads 1 hour 54 minutes and 20 seconds!!!

Seems like yesterday I was getting all excited about the fellowship, and now here we are at the end of it all. I feel how I felt when I was finishing up the books for the first time, it's bittersweet, the end that is. Ah well...

Mmm... Minis Tirith was the greatest battle in a book, ever!
I cannot wait to see it manifested. :)
And Shelob!
I can't believe they held her off until ROTK, but it'll be ever so sweeter!

the thing i wanna see most is
*possible spoiler if you havent read the books*

Eowyn vs. Witchking

*end spoiler*

I fell asleep soon after getting home...
All I have to say is - Best movie ever!!!
My God! I remember the book being the greatest of the three, and this movie lived up to it.
Though things were added, taken away, and prolonged, it was non-the-less f*cking amazing!

I suggest you all go see it, unless you want me to slit your throat while you're all asleep. :)

Seeing it tomorrow night. I'm excited for it.

I hear the ending is a little different from the books..and I'm curious as to what else they've changed from the book-to-movie translation.
