Route Canal - Well and truely stuck

I'm in a the section with the ladder that takes you up to a make-shift walkway with two of the orange symbols on the wall and a load of graffiti. It leads off a long tunnel with a sandy floor.

I hope you understand where I'm talking about because I'm at a loss about where to go. I must have run up and down the tunnel a million and one times last night and examined every inch of wall, ceiling and floor twice.

Help me out here please people. I'm loving the game but this has got me a bit frustrated.

I know what's gonna happen here. Someone will explain what to do and I'll feel like a right fool. :-]

Yeah. I'm on foot. I'm not what you'd call an expert in written communication but I'll try and describe the area a bit better.

When you enter the area there's a chain-link fence and a ladder to your left. There's two wooden planks on top of the fence that you need to climb the ladder to get onto. You need to drop off the planks into the tunnel.

The tunnel is very high with a sky lights at the top. A couple of the sky lights have broken and the grating has fallen into the water below. The floor of the tunnel is sandy and some of the sand has formed a small pile with a plant growing out of it. There is a also a barrel that is fixed in place.

One end of the tunnel is a dead end and one end has metal bars blocking it.

There is a side tunnel that leads to a small alcove with a couple of of those ceiling dwelling things with the long grabbing tongues! Off that side tunnel is a tall room with a ladder which leads to a walkway made of wooden planks and metal panels balanced on some sort of metal structure. There's a couple of the orange symbols on the wall.

I hope you can make some sense of that description. If not I guess I'll need to post a link to some screen shots when I get home this evening.

If that's the part I'm thinking of the you have to go past the Barnicles (Cieling hanging creatures).

If this is where I think it is then the wooden planks are in a circle round a center piller.

Go up the ladder, pick up the items on the right, go round the planks to the other side and collect the goodies

Fall off the platform and there is a way out.

Look out for the manhacks !!
