Alright, I need a new router. My old one broke, and I can't return it since I bought it on eBay. When I bought it I had no idea if it was good or not, but it seems to not have been very good. I have no idea what's good and what I should look for in a router, so that's why I've come here.
Basically I need one that's not wireless, since I don't want to have to buy extra network cards and I already have the cables. It should also cost less than €100 because I don't want to use so much money on a router. Port-forwarding is needed aswell. Also, I live in germany and don't want to buy one from like america because of shipping.
I've tried to read reviews, but they list all these functions and I don't know what's good or what's not.

If you need any more info to help me, just ask.

Thanks alot guys.

make sure the one you get has a built in firewall too, they come in handy ;)

Built in firewall is "a must have". Remember that! At least I advice you to get it :E

netgear dg834.

very good indeed.

It seems to also have an integrated DSL-modem, which I don't need. I already have an external one. The router seems good and I would take it if it didnt cost €99. I bet without the modem it would be alot less.

3COM do some very good routers - everything you need as standard in the entire range ... just pick the one without wireless and you'll be sorted.

that's what I reccommend... very high quality and great value... I have the wireless version and have had absolutely no problems at all, and that firewall is 100% secure. (port forwarding easily configurable via the web access control panel too)

Wow, that 3Com router seems pretty good. The price is right, and it seems to have everything I need. I'll think about getting that one :).

I would look at DLink's line of products(specifically the DI-604), they are fairly cheap and do a good job.
