Routers and Wireless.

I am looking for a new router that will run wireless very fast. But I am going to be using a computer that is two floors away from the router that is why I need to get a built in wireless card. If anyone can help me out on which is a good brand of wireless routers, that would help me out A LOT.

I personally recommend Netgear....but i don't know if unmodified gear will get you a signal over 2 floors.
You can also get Linksys if you gonna modify it (external antenna?!) and/or use a modified firmware that gives u a higher power output.

I would recommend you post the question and/or research it in the www.dslreports.com forums (specifically the linksys, netgear and wireless networking).

I also would recommend Netgear, though I don't believe linksys will be that good at all, and stay away from d-link for wireless.
