So my 360 is on the brink, YAY! It is making a horrific noise and has killed scratched up 3 of my games with laser burns, CoD4, GTA4 and forza2.

It seems its time to try and get this little bitch repaired, I just checked out the microsoft website and well, the warrenty ran out friday just gone. The problem is right now other then the noise and the destroying of games it runs fine. (ish)

So my question is... Is there any way inwhich I can force the console to RRoD so I can send it back and get it repaired for free.

And

Will Microsoft replace the games which I have spent my heard earnt money on and have been broken due to their faulty machine.

Well, they charged me for my first repair (not RRoD), but now it's RROD and I've got that repair free (back in warranty). I'm not sure if you can get it RRoD deliberately, but would it make any difference to the charge for repair? I mean, if you're out of warranty and all that.

Will Microsoft replace the games which I have spent my heard earnt money on and have been broken due to their faulty machine.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Just leave it on, but in a box or something so that it overheats. That should be enough to melt some of the fastenings and spark those RRs. Good luck!!

/me emails thread and IP address to Bill Gates

There supposedly is a way to force the RRoD - check youtube. I think it involves pressing the power and eject button repeatedly.

Why don't you call them and ask them if they'll fix this problem first? Seems to be the logical first step...

Oh, and for some ****ing reason the 360 isn't designed to be used in the vertical position and you can't move it while a disc is running, otherwise it'll eat the ****ing thing.

Best. Console. Ever.

The person over at microsoft said it will cost me ?60 to repair the console and also will have to get hold of the take-two and activision about the damaged disks.... I don't see how it's their responsibility.....

I know GAME(Or Gamestop, not sure) now offers a service to repair scratched discs, saw a poster in the shop. Might be work checking out if the other routes don't work.
