Can't seem to find any info on this game, how is the gameplay? The same as in the original RTCW?
And ET is free, right? How can that be?

Its a bit borin for me :(...but some people seem to love it

It's pretty good - more chaotic than RTCW ..... better for a mindless blast on public servers (not a good clan game tho)

I love it. Though I have stopped playing for these forums and stuff(TRON, NHL, MOHAA). I played it for 2 months straight but it gets very boring after you have played all of the classes. It gets sort of repetitive. But it is also sort of ilke and RPG because when you level up and stuff. Bottom Line: Download it you will have a blast for a few months but then you will get bored. But don't expect it to be another TFC/CS.

Enemy Territory is very similar to RTCW. It has an additional class, called the CovertOps, who can spy on the enemy. Engineers have new abilities like building bridges and deploying mines. Helping your team by reviving wounded teammates, supplying ammo, killing enemies, etc will earn you experience points. These XP points can unlock new special abilities. The maps are large and organised in campaigns. There's a campaign in North Africa and one in Central Europe.

There's much more in Enemy Territory. I highly recommend you try it.

Enemy Territory is a Campaign-based MP game
--You may earn XP by doing things such as healing your teammates(Medics), giving them ammo(Fieldops), etc...

Acutally, your XP points do stay.
During a campaign, when players progress through a level, they keep their XP points, and eventually--they get higher ranks.
Private First Class, Corporal, Sargeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, Brigadier General, Lieutenant General and General.
I play ET myself.

yeah..i played ET but had to leave for a while. when i got back, the campaign was still running and I still had the same EXP as before.

cant remember if i was spectating or disconnected though..

For me, ET is the best teamplay game ever designed. Its not perfect, but as close as you can get.
It does get booring sometimes though... But then sometimes you get on a great server with players that actually know what they are doing, and have the best time of your life. Speeding through Seawall as Allied is quite a rush, if everyone knows what they are doing. Doing the same with people that dont know, sucks. I've seen medics run straight past wounded, people that dont listen to requests. And I've seen medics staying as a shadow behind the team, being the only thing that makes or breaks the push.

So just like every other game, it depends on which server you are on. More so since its highly concentrated teamplay, you need your team to win. It is not BF1942, where everyone can run off someplace and everyone can capture flags. You have a goal and you have a designated class. Do your work :)

Sidenote: "During a campaign, when players progress through a level, they keep their XP points, and eventually--they get higher ranks."
Eventually? Takes 3 minutes to gain a rank at low levels, after two maps I usually have 3-4 ranks in everything (no, not every class, the class I'm mostly playing)

I meant from server to server and after a game

I think it sucked.I mainly didn't like the huge head on the left side of my screen. Also I was hoping to drive some vehicles.Anotherthing I hated was that damn artillery strike thing. All you had to do is get the binoculars right click and wait for the artillery and once the strike stop your meter would be half full and you could do it all over again...and again....and again.I like the chaos of it.But overall if I rated it 1-10...I would give it a 7.

Totally free
Totally hectic
Totally addictive
Totally unrealistic

I agree, I checked the Gamespy servers, Wolfenstein was 3rd place for a long time--it beat Medal of Honour, but now, it's losing it's players.

I think it's awesome. Unlike some mp games, this one actually encourages teamwork with medics, engineers, and covert ops. Graphics, sound, and gameplay are all very well balanced, except higher leveled air strikes (esp. on spawn, arrrghh).

My only gripe are the number of maps, which is only 6 of them, but they're very good maps.

You can find info at ET Resource

Happy Gaming!

ET's ok :)

RTCW is still the best teambased fps out there (IMO) Have never played a better clan game :)

Wow TrOn...you're a tough sell bro! 7 outta 10 and it "sucks"? Damn dude, you're a tough critic.

It satisfied my summer vacation need.
The graphics aren't any better than the original, and they ask for a P3 600MHZ?That's crazy, and then the lag problems--don't get me started.

There's a fair amount of custom maps out now. Most of them are low quality, but there are a few gems around.

The initial test version had lag problems, but this was fixed for the most part in the full version. I don't experience any lag now, unless I play on a 64 player server.

I agree it satisfied my summer vacation needs but it just got well... boring after a while.

Ets a great game...but i dont like it. It handles too 'squishy' for me....I prefer the crisp, griity feel of hl mods or mohaa.
