I have figured it out. The popular kid's holiday song is actually a subtle criticism of modern humanity.

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.

The "Minority".

All of the other reindeer

The 'Majority'

used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.

How the majority oppresses a minorioty, and humanity's tendency to reject anyone 'different', like race, for instance.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Santa, is the authority. This shows, the minority gaining authority, perhaps like that of the Nazis. Or perhaps the minority gaining majority, also like that of the Nazis, or maybe other groups in the modern world.
Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!

And of course, when you are in favor of the ones in charge, those hypocrites suddenly love you. Or pretend to, because they want to look good in Santa's (or the leader's) eyes.

See, a criticism of the hypocrisy of modern humanity. This would have applied very well in less-than democratic nations.

Yeah, I got bored. :E

Oh sweet jesus the man has a point.

A very valid point.

*phones to song manager* -"Darrol, get your ass outta bed! We need to re-write every single mother****ing christmas song! AND WE NEED TO WRITE THEM POLITICALLY CORRECT THIS TIME!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Start rewriting, slaves! MWAHAHAHAHAH!

Rudolph is clearly an allegory for communism.

SOMETHING I WILL NOT STAND FOR. LIVE FREE.

when visiting your family doctor does he ask you questions while you're in a reclined position? ...does this look familiar?

he was created for a department store during christmas as a children's story, no sinister allegorical political undertones

Don't have one.

ah that explains a lot ;)

you should ask your state to provide you with healthcare ...your glorious nation provides free healthcare for everyone right? or is that too communist an idea?

...Santa titty-****ing Claus, numbers! :rolling:

You spin me right round, baby right round....

So basically what you're saying is that Rudolph was a pesky Jew with a big, red glowing nose.

HAH. Free healthcare. Silly socialist utopian ideas.

I'm glad that you like leeching others' money. :hmph:

And here I am thinking that Rudolph was about acceptance.

That's what they want you to think!

Ive thought that way about the song since I was like 8. I didnt think people thought otherwise.

excuse me? leeching other people's money? I pay taxes, they're leeching MY money

In after Stern takes something seriously in a thread about prejudice against red nosed reindeers.

It's as though a small part of me just 'went out' after reading that. My common sense has been offended and he's threatening to walk unless I leave the thread. Thanks for nothing, numbers. Go back to playing Starcraft or preaching lunacy or whatever it is you do.

Well, then, welcome to the capitalist system, where taxes are teh minimum required!

:(

You know that this was a joke, right?

By the way, "Reindeer" is a good term for people who ostrasize people.

And here I am thinking that Rudolph was about acceptance.
Sure, that is what most people believe but think about it, they only accepted Rudolph after they found out he had something of use to them.
In short, Rudolph is being used by manipulative pricks.

And a reindeer has 4 legs!!
That symbolizes the four seasons and the upcoming DEATH OF HUMANITY AND TACOS.

Nah son, the four legs symbolise Death, Famine, War and Pestilence.

Damn foos...
