I have figured it out. The popular kid's holiday song is actually a subtle criticism of modern humanity.
The "Minority".
The 'Majority'
How the majority oppresses a minorioty, and humanity's tendency to reject anyone 'different', like race, for instance.
Santa, is the authority. This shows, the minority gaining authority, perhaps like that of the Nazis. Or perhaps the minority gaining majority, also like that of the Nazis, or maybe other groups in the modern world.
And of course, when you are in favor of the ones in charge, those hypocrites suddenly love you. Or pretend to, because they want to look good in Santa's (or the leader's) eyes.
See, a criticism of the hypocrisy of modern humanity. This would have applied very well in less-than democratic nations.

Yeah, I got bored. :E
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
you would even say it glows.
The "Minority".
All of the other reindeer
The 'Majority'
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.
How the majority oppresses a minorioty, and humanity's tendency to reject anyone 'different', like race, for instance.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!
