Hi,

Since I got sunch a good responce from people earlier, i figured here was a good place to post in the future!!

I want to setup a CS: Source LAN server. I have 2 machines, a server and my main machine (which I play on)

I have the Steam Dedicated CS server, which is for CS: Source, but I want to run the server on my server (duh!) and play on the desktop. But can I do this with one steam account??

I have steam installed on the server (WinXP) so can I log into steam using my usuall username etc, AND login to steam on my desktop at the same time, with the same account details!?!?

Any help would be great! :E

Yes, you just copy the steam folder from your pc and paste it in the same location on the pc or pc's that you want to play on. Then log in on each pc with your account. Then start a server from the CS:S menu on your pc, and join from the others.

(that's the way I did it)

tried it. not good :(

I made the server, all was ok. I connected, all was ok. my mate connected (over LAN), and his steam ticket had expired.

this happens repeatedly. only I can connect. I know both copies of CS:Source are legal.

Any clues!?!?
