Okay, whenever I try and run games off a cd on FC3 using WINE, the game installs perfectly, but when I try and play they say that the CD is not in the drive. Does anyone know of a workaround?

Yea wine is good for the installation but not really for gaming, Cedega works great, it's not free though. I also had some problems with cd detection but I managed to get it working by manually unmounting and mounting the drives.

I know little about Fedora. I'm more of a Gentoo man myself.

What disc protection is the game using?

No disc protection that I know of, it's a pretty old game (Axis and Allies).

So to run the game I have to mount the disk first?

Oh and btw on a sidenote does anyone remember the command for mounting thumbdrives on linux, my friend told me but I seem to have forgetten it.

Ah cool. Wine even had updates for that to fix a few texture glitches. I allways run off .Isos so if I ever have a problem I usally tinker with my mounting settings.

Fiddle around for a while, you'll figure it out eventually.
