I go to play farcry on my new computer, and put autodetect settings. It decides to set every option on low. It runs perfect on very high.. but does any one know whats with that auto-detect?

it tries to ignore the might of ur ati card, thus helping the devil nvidia and its minions

Yeah, autodetects can be WAY screwy. It's not a problem.

:dozey: I just got the x800 Pro as well yesterday. My brother was pushing me to get it, so he could take over my 9800 Pro. To tell you the truth the x800 Pro is impressive, but I am not satisfied. I want my x800 XT PE!

Well... lemme ask you guys this. Would you rather get an x800 Pro and have some cash left over to upgrade to 1 Gig of RAM or would you rather spend your money on an x800 XT PE and have money left over enough for a videogame?

You shouldn't have a X800 Pro/XT if you don't have a GB of ram. That is just wrong.

 So that means I should stick with my x800 Pro and upgrade to 1 Gig. Neato.

Recommendations on what kind of RAM I should get? My PC supports up to DDR-400.

I've got a Pentium 4 @ 3.2C and I've got about $250 leftover after buying that x800 Pro.
