running hl2 from seconday harddrive

i installed a new seagate 200GB harddrive the otehr day and downloaded and installed steam and HL2 on it. will this affect my performance at all (since it is teh secondary drive, used only for storage, in other words i don't boot up from it.)

It shouldn't. I only have my games installed on the drive I boot from since it's a 10k raptor
