Running problems...

I have a rather.. different.. problem. HL2 runs great... until I try to run. Not open the game. Run as in quickly move forward. For some odd reason the whole computer just restarts itself abruptly. No warning given. Just up and restarts itself. I would really appreciate any help at all. I am sick of praying that I will somehow evade the civil protection squads with my crazy mad "power walking" skillz.

My system specs are as follows

Intel P4 2ghz with 1 GB of RAM
Asus GeForce FX 5200 128mb vid card
Windows XP Pro/w SP-2
