I have a P4 2.4ghz and Gforce4 MX440 (running at AGP X4) and 1gb PC2100 ram runing at 266mhz. What FPS would i be expectecd to get???

you'll have a fps close to the "won't run"

the geforce4MX is a reharshed geforce2... this should help you figure it out...

yeah, i had the GeForce MX 4 before i built this new PC. it sucks, it gave me all kinds or problems with UT2003 and was generally cack. with this new build ive got a Radeon 9800xt which seems to do the trick reasonably well.

anyone here got any ideas about overclocking GFX cards ?

Not true, the G4MX is quite good with my old pc, P3 866Mhz, 256MB ram and G4MX I managed to play Warcraft3/FT with high\medium options + 1024X768x32Bit and I had a decent fps! (playable)

Play, but how many units on the screen beforeing lagging you to hell. It also dosn't have any special effects compared to toher cards.

Ive had the Geforce 4 Mx 420 PCI(I could play UT2004) but overall when compared to the ATi Radeon 9600 it beats it in FPS and in graphics.

Maybe 10fps. Average settings=medium detail that is. You will probably be running 640x480 if you want any good fps what so ever and low settings.

An Athlon 64 3000+ and MX440 system gets 80+ FPS on the Stress Test and about 40 FPS in-game. This is the DX7 path though, so effects are at their minimum. (10x7 resolution, low shadow detail level.)

im using xp2600, 512 meg ddr400 and a Geforce2mx. Runs really well for my settings. 800x600, medium model detail, medium texture detail i get about 40 fps normally, maybe 30ish in a firefight. If i put texture detail to normal i get consistent 45s. Very playable.

My friend has almost the same pc you have, except his processor is a 2.8Ghz, he also has the gf4 mx440, i went over to his house and played CS:S with my account (cuz he doesnt have cz or the coupon) and it ran with everything on lowest settings with around 20 - 40 fps, well, that when youre alone on the server, that is not unplayable framerates but if you get in a firefight you don't wanna have that video card... hope this helped.
