Runtime error and the game quits ?? please help quick !

Hi there, just bought the game yesterday, and now it suddenly quits all the time " Runtime error, abnormal program termination, microsoft visual c++ runtime library error" it says.... got a pentium 4 2.8 ghz, 2.79 clockspeed, 1gb intern memory ati radeon 9800 xt, all my other games such as far cry runs great, but this sucks, every 4 min. it crashes back to my desktop !

Please help, wanna play so badd

I had a brief look around, and there a large number of potential causes. Simplest thing to try first is to make sure all your drivers and Direct X are the latest versions.
