Rush Limbaugh Rushed To Hospital

OMG please die at 11:59:59 Hawaii time! this would be my greatest wish of the year!!

I think his death would have been a great way to close the decade.

I wonder if his fans will fail to accept the Hawaiian death certificate as valid.

What? Is he a cat rapist or something? Why would you want a man, who is obviously not a cruel dictator or a sociopathic murderer to die?

hes like that voice you here that makes you cringe. hes on par with glenn beck of the douchbags.

Zing?

He is a leader of ignorance and stupidity with a huge following, so yeah, I'd prefer him to be gone.

Yes, and so is the pope. But you don't see me wishing the pope to die, so....

He's generally a terrible person who thinks blacks are lazy, women should be in the kitchen where they belong, affirmative action is responsible for Obama and just basically says a lot of hateful and outright stupid things.

Wishing him dead is pretty harsh though. As much as I dislike the guy, wishing he were dead is a bit much.

Except the man got a microphone to which he screams every night. And the stuff he mostly says are idiotic.

It's not like it actually matters when the pope dies I mean really it's like when you're a kid and your dog dies and your parents buy you a new one that looks mostly the same and hope you don't notice

And most of the time you don't

I hereby demand necromancy. As long as the second dude isn't the necromancer.

Hah. Great comparison.

John Paul was a much better Pope, and made funnier jokes and didn't piss off Muslims as much

Christians and Muslims and Jews are always going to piss each other off.

Really? Whyever not?

Well obviously it's because I admire him and his irrational lackeys. :p

It's because he poses no threat to me, or the things that I care about, and can in no foreseeable way will be able to do so in the foreseeable future become a considerable threat to mine and others' life, property, and freedom.

Oh yeah, wait, there's that abortion thing. Still not enough to make me wish him death. I'd admit that the world would be better off without him (or any other pope) though.

Well, now you know why people want Limbaugh dead.

I'm never sure about these threads, 'cos a small amount of me fancies a world without Beck et. al., and the larger part realises this is horribly inconsistent with my stance on capital punishment. I suppose you could argue people aren't arguing for an execution, rather enjoying a prospect of a death that they aren't responsible for, but it's still a bit weird to actually want someone dead.

It's the same thing! You want people dead, and yet you are irked that the government does it for you, because you have some weird notion that the State shouldn't play God or something. You'd rather have "God" do it, because you are completely not responsible for that. Your position as a voter has at least entitles you to some responsibility for the death of executed prisoners.

NOTE: By saying "You", I don't mean "jondy". I was refering to an abstract.

I suppose I fancy a world in which some people don't exist. However, I find it hard to actively want them dead. It takes something more personal to do that. You can't really wish for someone to die - i.e. REALLY HATE them, unless you have actually met them in person.

wait, no, what I said in this post didn't make any sense

I pretty unrepentantly wish Glenn Beck was dead from random chance that nobody initiated, but that doesn't mean I actually think he should be killed by any human agency. I would be against an actual God killing him too.

If they think they can fill the seat faster than I can wish they're sorely mistaken. They have to go through the rigamarole of their whole selection process; I just have to wait, every 24 hours (or 12 on analogue time), for 11:11 to roll around.

EDIT: whatever else jondy "the guillotine between thinking and acting" was a good phrase

People seem to call things like that an "act of god", therefore I said that. :p

It's actually interesting. For example, I want Kim Jong Il dead. But not from chance or disease. I want him to die in a specific way - a sniper, a disloyal bodyguard, or a mob of angry citizens hammering him with 2X4s. It's nothing personal. I wouldn't feel good that he died, but only from what would come from his death. His death would be unhelpful towards my idea of how things should go unless it specifically entailed some sort of unrest in the rebel areas. Sure, he deserves to die. But it's not because he deserves it I want him dead. It's because it's a prerequisite to the Perfect Harmonious Society(TM).

Another example: I want the city of Ui-Jungbu destroyed. Or at least parts of it. And not by natural causes. It has to be nuked. It's a medium sized city, nothing metropolitan, close to the DMZ, not of too great an importance to the functioning of my country, but yet it's destruction and the entailling deaths of a couple thousand people would ensure the total unification of society, a complete unity bound by hate. Kinda like the 9/11 attacks. Through unity I am able to foresee the answer to Communist Question. A final solution, so to speak. But it doesn't mean I would get happy from the vaporization of a thousand lives. I'd probably cry, burning with sadness and hate - thus proving my own self right.

Yeah, it's a shame it didn't apply to what Numbers was actually saying! waaa

Anyway, 'not being sad at hypothetical death(s)' and 'wishing someone was dead' are two different things I guess.
