Ok, I have a virus..I want to remove it. Searched the virus for removal software..I found a site but whenever I try to download it from FireFox or IE it won't. In FireFox I get a message saying SecurityZone won't allow it and when using IE it says my system settings won't let me download it?

I turned off all firewalls and everything and even went into the settings for FF and IE and manually entered in the site from which I want to download from to "ALLOW" and still it won't let me..I NEED to remove this ASAP because my ISP keeps locking my account.

Any help is appreciated thanks!

most likely.
when I got a virus a few days ago it disabled my task manger.
So what u need to do i start ur PC ins afe mode with Networking enabled and try to download the program u need.

On my desktop..I restarted my laptop in safemode except my stupid network card which is a massive POS takes forever to get onto the internet. I can't even run network diagnostics in safemode to speed up the process. Will wait a few minutes and see if I can download the software.

This is really irritating..May have to download onto USB from desktop then just transfer it over to my laptop if need be.

In retrospect, I should've just done that in the first place lol

Just keep in mind if you download it to a usb drive it will probably infect the USB drive as soon as you plug it in.

Not sure why you are having problems with your network card in safe mode. Is it wired or wireless?

wireless. My network card in my laptop has always had issues with my home router for some reason. I constantly have to run network diagnostics a few times to get it working.

Sounds like your home network configuration is all screwed up. But thats for another day.

If you can get on a different computer and download these programs and burn them to a CD that would probably work best.

Another WTF. I downloaded the program from here:
http://remove-malware.net/how-to-remove-rustocke-trojan/

but when I ran it, it told me I had to buy it to remove it? Why the hell did they just say "install and run this FREE rustock spambot remover"??

LOL
dude that's the reason u got infected is buy that shit.
I am disappoint, u should know these things u have been on the Internet for more then a week right?
Go download malwarebytes NOW

I installed the remover and searched for a keygen and it worked. It seemed to have removed it and my laptop is saved for now. :)

What?

Dude, for ****s sake, install malwarebytes from:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Start up in safe mode with networking, update it (assuming your internet now works in safe mode), and do a full scan.

I don't know what you did, but I can promise you its not right and you are still infected.

I went to this site:

Downloaded the program..it detected several infections and in order for me to remove them I'd have to "buy" the product. A quick search on the internet and I found a keygen and used it to register. It deleted all of the infections and I restarted my comp. No pop-ups or anything came up at all and everything is running smoothly.

I think it's safe to say it's been removed.

Run hijackthis too

It will find tons of crap.

Wow, that sounds trustworthy. Here's another one for you:

OK, I'm not saying the program you downloaded is a scam, but there's a lot of sites that work like that and will actually put more shit on your PC. But seriously now, I'd go with what No Limit said to be sure.

The site's name is "remove-malware.net" and its asking you to buy something. Seriousy, how long have you used a computer for?

I guess if you don't want to download malware bytes then your choice, not my computer or network.

Well, I didn't download any keygen's..it was listed on a discussion board where I copied and pasted the text and it worked.

I will download malware bytes just in case but I don't think I'm infected with anything anymore.
