Who here uses one? I've been thinking of getting one and was wondering what brand you are using. I am currently using one bladed, disposable razors but they're not getting the job done. They're certainly better than the gimmicky, multi bladed crap that's out there but i need something more effective for my coarse hair.

gilette mach89172 or some shit, I dunno, go to the grocery store

I vote for the gimmicky multi-bladed crap. Shit works.

I swear by the faceshaver4000. Guaranteed to take at least your top layer of skin off every time.

A good electric shaver will last you 15 years or more, with a few blade replacements (the internal battery will eventually be pretty useless, but you can still use it with the cord).

This is the part where TwwIX gets angry for suggesting something other than what he wants, and then Virus preempts such aggression by predicting and making a note of it, thus changing the course of history. :p

Wait, so shitty disposable razors that I wouldn't even use on a dog (a dog that I hated and wanted to feel pain) are ok, but not good enough.
And these are better than the razors actually designed to leave a close comfortable shave?
Advice?

Wax your face. Video the process.

Good for you. It doesn't work for me.

Tried it. I just can't get a close shave with an electric shaver.

You must not know how to shave if the multi-bladed shavers don't work for you. Those things are the greatest. Gillette Fusion is the best mayne. Especially since it also has a single razor edge to facilitate mustache trimmage.

Uh, this. I'm using the Gillette Fusion razor. They work everytime and you can use blade heads more than once. (i'm on shave #3 with this current one)

EDIT: IT'S THE BEST GODDAMNED RAZOR I'VE EVER USED.

If you aint a pussy each blade set can last you 2 months. And when you buy it, it comes with two blade sets.

Mine last that long no problem. Since I don't shave often. Maybe once a week. (week and a half sometimes)

Yeah, I dont shave too often either. But I bet even if you did it would still be fine.

But I know Twixx is gunna get all upset over this thread like he always does when people make recommendations he doesn't want to hear, let me just say, I've never had experience with a safety razor, nor do I know anybody who uses one. Though I have a friend who uses a straight razor and swears by it. Says he gets the best shave ever with it. Its a bit of work to keep it in shape with that leather strap deal, but it apparently works great, and it sure as hell is classy. So thats my backup recommendation.

I would only let a barber do a straight razor shave. Then again, you're trusting a man with your life.

Not sure if want.

I tried several before I found a brand that actually gets close shave - and by the way, the blades have to 'seat' before it will get close. It might take a month to seat, but then they last 5 years or more.

Well, whatever. Good luck.

I've only used the gillette three bladed ones (except once when I used a bic disposable one, shit tried to rip my face off) and they great. You are remembering to use shaving gel right? :P

When I used to shave all my facial hair, I used shaving cream. Now when I only shave my neck beard (lol), I don't use anything, not even water.

I've tried pretty much all razors. I have a 3 bladed gillette that I love. It's the best I've used of anything. It cost maybe 20 bucks, I only have to replace the blades every couple of months and it gives me the closest, smoothest shave of anything I've tried (assuming I go against the grain).

Disposable razors are shitty because they go dull after like 10 uses, and electric razors are retarded (I used one for like 3 years before I switched and god what a good idea switching was).

If you can't get the closest shave with a normal non-electric razor with a few blades, I honestly don't know what to tell you. I think probably the only way you can get a better shave is with a straight up old school straight razor.

I use Shick Hydro. Expensive blades, but the shave is so close that you need Aloe to reduce razor burn, and it has an aloe dispensers at the top of the blade. Every time I use it my shave lasts all day, and my skin is moisturized. You can dry shave with it no problem. I love it.

Thats what I use. But if a barber does it, if he is cool, you get a hot towel face massage after.

Three-bladed razor for me. I personally hate electric razors. Tends to irritate my skin and doesnt shave nearly as close.

Reminds me, I need a new pack of blades D:

Kinda does seem like you don't understand how to shave if "multi-bladed razors don't work." What, do they fall off when you try to use them? It really isn't that complicated.

Get the Gillette Fusion ones because according to the commercials you practically create matter and subatomic particles when you shave.

Mach 3. I shave my pubes with it too.

Gilette blades are the only ones that don't give me a rash. Using the Fusion atm.

I use a Gilette Fusion Stealth Power X-Ray Chain Reaction or whatever. Works pretty well, and I have an electric thing for trimming the parts of my beard I keep.

Gillette Sensor Excel blades on a woman's razor. Once I found out the blades were identical, I got the ladies razor because I like the handle better, and the wife and I can use the same blades.

I found some shaving cream, Basin White I think, that is noticeably better than any other I've tried (Aveeno, Gilette, Barbasol, hot soapy water, whatever). A jar costs like $20, but lasts for about a year (your mileage may vary).

I've been using this normal Gillette shaving gel. TURNS TO SHAVING FOAMS WHEN YOU WIPE IT ON YOUR FACE. Has cocoa butter and stuff. Keeps your face moisturized for a long time.

There's this product I get at walmart, it's called secret shave. it has a cinnamon scent, and you only have to use 3-5 drops of it. It's lasted me a year, and gives me a real close shave.

I do not understand anything about this post.

I do not understand anything about this post.

That's because you aren't TRYING to understand it. It's secret.

It's an alternative to shaving cream. It's a liquid. Perhaps I should have clarified that. Sorry. lol

**** the shazing industry, it's all bullshit.

I use single blade disposable razours and cold water. **** yeah.

The Gilette Fuzion Power Stealth

Nah I use a Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium...thing for my cheeks and side burn areas, use a beard trimmer on my stubble 'circle' as a full wet shave usually gives me white-heads, razor burn big time, bleeding etc, my skin is too sensitive.

So... Do you have peach fuzz on your face, or do you always have stubble?

The way you worded it, it still doesn't make sense.

It makes us think that you somehow magically shave with a liquid, without razor blades.

Well, on the last page I was talking about my Shick Hydro. I figured all you smart people could connect the dots. :p

I use disposable razors or an electric one if I'm feeling super lazy. I look awesome with stubble anyway so **** it, right?
