Woo, I'm very excited about this movie and its finally coming out today. I doubt many other people here have heard/cared about it, but I'll post my opinion on it after I get back tonight. Hopefully, the director stays as true to the book as possible, but I doubt it ;( .

Ya this movie looks kickass.

Looks like a basic action movie....not that interested...

Hey, there are millions of clive cussler fan out there, and im one of them. Ill be watching it tonight.

:x Ugh, it was painful to watch the ending of this movie. The beginning was quite entertaining, even if it did take quite a few liberties from the book. They at least attempt to keep it somewhat based on the book at this point. As the movie progressed, the movie pushed further and further away from the wonderful tale written by Clive Cussler. Predictably, the movie became worse and worse as it went away from the true story. By the end, it was painful watching his wonderful book being ripped to shreds by some moron in Hollywood. The final scene involves Dirk and Al shooting down a helicopter with a Civil War era cannon. :x

Just looking at the front page on the website...tells me that it's a suckfest of a movie.

/me loves the current generation of movie goers.

damn, im not gonn awatch that movie then .. cheers for telling me :D

The movie didn't look interesting to me in the previews. I thought it wouldn't be that good. I seem to have some super sense regarding movies. I think a movie will be great, it usually is. I think a movie will flop, it usually does. Same with games too, remarkably.

But... this does not apply to monetary success. Just 'quality' success.

Went and saw it yesterday.

Cussler fans should be at a full run right now to the theater to see it. I was amazed at just how well they kept the feel of the books. I never expected it to translate that well to the screen. It's a genuinely unique, fun, and even funny good time. Theres certainly changes, but all are forgivable in my mind, especially since Cussler's books are such goofy and relaxed affairs.

Anyone who likes action movies, wants an awesome popcorn movie, or feels like seeing a great adventure movie should get a bunch of friends together and go see.
I give it my full recommendation.
