Saint's Row 2 Co-op?

I was just wondering does Saint's Row 2 allow two people to play co-op on one Xbox 360 console or do you need to have 2 consoles and online capability to play through it on co-op? thanks guys.

You need 2 consoles and xbox live. No split screen co-op.
