I don't think there is "explaining" to do, I think its just some weirdo who thinks up random disturbing things and then makes them into a flash animation which gets a lot of traffic because its weird, creepy, and disturbing.

but i think dat saladfingers iz living ina post-nuclear apocalyptic time. being born from one of the few survivors, the radiation killed his mother at childbirth and gave him his bizarre green skin texture and deformed "salad fingers." growing up alone and without anything for many years, SF has gone completely insane and has bizarre hallucinations and delusions.

I went to the fat-pie site and ended up watching all of the flash cartoons. Salad Fingers ftw! I reckon that episode 6 is the best so far. It's great how it's so strangely sad as well as being demented and funny. I keep inventing flashes of background story in my mind while I watch it.

The 'berries' one and 'roof tiling' are excellent too. Johnathan rules.
