I would buy some stuff for a friend, but my credit card's on the fritz...

damn, already spent all money for the presents... :hmph:

$37.99 isn't that cheap.

You can buy it for 18 pounds at Amazon.co.uk ;)

That's what they're counting on, no doubt. ;)

Anyway, this sounds like a great time to buy some games. The problem is that I don't know what I want. :/

I got all games I want but I got 440$ limit on my card :P

I've already got Psychonauts (bought it at retail) but I would urge anyone who hasn't bought it to snap it up now because it's a truly brilliant game.

Valve should start selling Steam gift cards in stores, like iTunes gift cards.

Yes, agreed. I was going to ask for one for Xmas, but couldn't find it mentioned anywhere on Steam.

There aren't enough titles available on Steam yet for them to start doing that sort of thing, plus it's further cost for Valve with no guarantee of pickup. Also which retailer is going to sell them? Games shops sure as shit aren't because they are effectively a competitor. If people are Steam Savvy I doubt they are bothering with gift cards.

I'm sure to buy Psychonauts now

Exactly. Also, If you asked random people in a city high-street what Steam is, you're highly unlikely to find many people that know. Whereas if you asked what iTunes is, its quite possible that everyone would know.

It would be a waste of time for them to sell gift-cards.

Bought Psychonauts for $9.95. Played the first level and it seems like good fun :)

Anyone have a list of which games are 50% off?

Psychonauts
Vampire the masquerade bloodlines
Flatout 2
Gun
X3 reunion
Two Worlds
Peggle Deluxe

Are all 50%. The first two are definitely worth getting

Peggle Deluxe and Flatout 2 are worth buying as well. They're actually two of my favorite games on Steam.

I bought (legally)Flatout 2 and I pay 2.4 $ :D

The Shadowgrounds pack is also 50% off, I'm thinking about getting it along with Vampire, Flatout 2 and Psychonauts.

Edit: Also SiN Episodes: Emergence is 50% off

Thanks Kadayi. :)

I bought Flatout 2 (still downloading) as Ennuis suggestion as it looks a bit like Destruction Derby 2 - which was one of my favorite PS1 games ever. I also got Vegas Make it Big, as I need a business Sim, fun but too easy.

JESUS CHRIST! The sale ends in less than 24 hours! :O

BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY

Get Flatout2, it rocks! Also downloading BioShock demo to see if that's my thing to buy before the sale, lol.

Sale is over. :(

I bought the Dawn of War Platinum Collection for $26.95 :O

I've already got Flatout2, it's okay. Bought it when I was going nuts over driving games.
I kind of like Trackmania better.

Direct 2 Drive was also having a holiday sale and I bought Oblivion for $20.95. :D

Uncle Rapstah: I bought Red Orchestra a moment ago.
The Brick: amazing
Uncle Rapstah: And the second I clicked Purchase the sale went out
Uncle Rapstah: and I paid $10 more than I intended
:D lulzchars

LOL, that's why I bought my games a few days ago, right after I decided what I wanted.

I have Trackmania on Steam too, I think there is more playability in Flatout for singleplayer, although I know there is loads of addons for Trackmania, just... I want to break stuff. :P
