The actor, who just weeks ago was seemingly on the outs with the studio over reprising his role as Nick Fury, agent of spy outfit S.H.I.E.L.D., has signed an unprecedented nine-picture deal to play the character in a series of Marvel movies.

The movies include "Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America," "The Avengers" and its sequels.

Also on the table is the possibility of toplining a "S.H.I.E.L.D." movie, which is in development.

this should be interesting ..however I prefered the old ww2 vet Nick Fury. they should make a retro version with nick and dum dum and the other howling commandos. this ultimate universe sounds too whiney/angsty

Sounds like easy cash since he isn't going to be first or even third billed for most of those.

Awesome, he had a badass little cameo at the end of Iron Man.

when are they going to start making super badass awesome GI Joe movies? when I read comic books that's like all I gave a shit about, the GI joe stories were always epic as hell (one dude parachuting into a Nazi fortress and pwning everyone, or a small group of dudes getting surrounded by a huge force and somehow destroying the shit out of all of them).

Oh yeah, forgot, I saw that trailer. That's totally not what I have in mind.

You hate America.
